Best time we've had at any marina in our 9 years of boating. Steve and his knowledgeable staff have far exceeded any expectation. We also had our laundry picked up, washed, and returned all folded and perfect within 3 hrs and the price was extremely reasonable. Docks are shaky, you must Uber to see sites, no towns or shops near by and over advertised as a great stop🥵. Saved our boat during Hurricane Isaias. All of these are gorgeous sites. Nice docks and great dockhands. Clean restrooms and nice, wide, full finger docks. The bathroom and shower facilities are clean. You won't find a better background view at any other marina in NY, not even in Fire Island. The facilities were very nice. 5 mile walk or a quick Uber ride. ) Great location, great docks, amazing staff. The services and amenities are first-rate, they really treated me well here. Bathrooms clean but only 1 shower, 1 toilet, and marina was full.
The next day, we were offered a promise that it had been fixed. No washers and dryers. We stayed a week to soak it all in. A lovely, small grocery and post office are in walking distance. Marina, parking lots, and facilities are all very well lit up at night. Croton Beach and it's clear waters exceeded our expectations as did the marina. Dockmaster Steve could not have been more accommodating and attentive; he seems to go the extra mile for all.
We will be back for sure. The Dockmaster, Steve was excellent, very friendly and helpful. Check out the local Croton Dam or visit Croton Point for hiking, and incredible sightseeing. The marina is located in a bay with a wave wall that limits wind and wave action from the river. Both Steve and Doug were super welcoming and friendly to work with - they really made an effort to make sure we had everything we needed. 2, 000 tons of contaminated soil were excavated, transported, and properly disposed off-site. The waterfalls and whole area there are not to be missed. Next day we visited the Culinary Institute up in Hyde Park by taking that metro north train up north to the Poughkeepsie station. Once on the dock, good facility and helpful staff. There are many sights to see in this area of the Hudson River so plan on staying a few days to soak it all in. Good power and water. We were fortunate enough to get a slip here over the weekend, and the marina far exceeded our expectations. Great staff and charming marina. Steve and his staff could not be nicer! Steve will be your best friend and is very helpful and working very hard at making this a wonderful Marina. Steve was on the dock and busy texting me instead of helping with cleanup. The adjacent Croton Point Park, with its sheltered cove and sandy beaches, provides a perfect spot for swimming. There is a great self serve laundramat next door, and at least 4 or 5 great, and very inexpensive dry cleaners who offer free pickup & delivery of your clothes.
Excellent WiFi and restaurants deliver quickly to boat slips. Plenty of free and very safe parking for our cars and guests to visit. The location is great! It's like heaven on water. The view is breathtaking and Steve was more than accommodating upon our arrival. Steve went above and beyond. When cruising north or south on the Hudson River this is our preferred stopover. Steve, the Dockmaster could not be more helpful.
