The Build: I love the idea of "new" in relation to cigars – a new line, a new brand, a new tobacco varietal, etc., and Guardian of the Farm Cerberus checks two of these boxes. The cigars derive their rich, mellow to medium-bodied flavor profile from a premium blend of 100% Criollo and Corojo vintage Nicaraguan tobaccos. But I'm treating it like a regular release because…well it really is…they aren't changing anything about this before shipping it out. The cigar is firm to the touch with just the right amount of heft and full of tobacco. The Edge Connecticut. There are two bands that adorn the cigar. Cerberus didn't stray too far from the signature Aganorsa flavor that I have become accustomed to, and I'm sure that was by design - the biggest difference that I noticed was the added floral note and the more noticeable amount of leather from the Corojo 2012 wrapper. The other distinction is that the Cerberus uses some medio tiempo leaf in the blend. This morning's cigar is much better than last night's whack a mole. Right off the bat, complexity is to be had in the first few puffs. And it could certainly stand up after a nice steak dinner. Enormous plumes of white smoke greet the palate with an initial burst of woody spice and creamy raw tobacco, quickly followed by a medley of sweet, bready notes and hints of cinnamon and pepper. The second third had a little more body, going into the medium range. H. Upmann Reserve Maduro. Rocky Patel TAVICUSA. This is the first brand released in the Aganorsa Leaf portfolio to utilize the Corojo 2012 wrapper. Medio tiempo leaves, part of the ligero leaves, are very strong. Baracoa Cigar Company.
