I enjoyed this property. It was a great house to relax play games and soak in the hot tub! Unfortunately, many of these settlers had spent what little money they had just getting to Canada. Amazing location close to beach and all amenities in town. This upgraded cabin is filled with amenities. The back yard is fully enclosed for little kids, and there's a cute little front yard for playing/enjoying the late afternoon sun too. The fire pit and downstairs bar area were a lovely addition as we were there during the fall. What a perfect spot. Very nice, newer and well equipped home that worked well for our family of four. This 40+ acre property is located minutes from Tappen BC. Our group really enjoyed our stay and loved the convenience of the location as it was walking distance from all the amenities! Super 8 by Wyndham Sicamous. It is even better in person despite the already excellent description provided. This again causes dissatisfaction; it is impossible to get the men to work as they should and the cost of a pair of suitable socks is lost in a few days' work. The deal covers close to 1, 000 faculty members and librarians. Few could have imagined that a chain of events started in the empire they'd left behind would soon propel them into a life of imprisonment and forced labour in this frigid camp. Further savings could be made by reducing the quality and quantity of food provided to the internees. Delightfully decorated, very comfortably furnished and only a couple minutes walk to the closest beach and a few minutes more to others. The deck over looks the lake which is stunning, but it is also right beside the main road which you hear continually when your on the deck. Savor a relaxing vacation in Sicamous. Loved the deck and the swimming! All around good place, would Rent again.
Perfect staycation👌 Great location. Charming Wonderful place to stay with all the attention to details. Maybe a 2 min walk to a very nice beach! Room for boat and truck in driveway. Great spot to stay with the family. It is not very well marked nor is it busy like some of the town's more popular beaches such as Sicamous Beach Park. Thought it was deep enough for 2 full size trucks with sled decks, although it was high enough only one truck fit. It is in a great location. As the proposal for the Mara Lake road was being approved by Minister Taylor, the citizens of Mara noted that some of the internees working at the Monashee camp had mining experience, which would be useful for such an undertaking. Fantastic place to stay, you can't beat the location.. 10/10. A short walk to the public beach. We weren't sure what to expect for taking vacation at the end of September, but it was perfect. And they have extra towels, bedding, linens!!
