This garden will be a sacred place for reflection and will daily remind veterans, families and those who support them of our purpose and mission. You can honor a loved one by placing a Veteran's name on a brick at the National Mounted Warrior Museum at Fort Hood, Texas. Individuals have the opportunity to purchase and dedicate a military brick as a means to honor or remember a service man, woman or military service animal. Please keep in mind that there is only one brick laying ceremony per year. These lasting tributes are not limited to service in World War II and can encompass any service period. At a cost of $250 each, the bricks are an affordable way to give permanent veteran recognition at the National D-Day Memorial. These veterans are from anywhere (not just Arlington Heights), from anytime (peace or war), and served in any of the six US military services (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine). Already purchased a brick? Thank you for your continued support of the Veteran's Memorial located at the West Pennsboro Township Park. Polar Engraving helps you design a message to remember your dearest one on November 11th on Veteran's Day, create a homage to those who have died while serving in the US Military on Memorial Day, and celebrate the creation of the flag of America, as well as the United States Army, on June, 14th. The steel was assembled into the memorial by a pair of Saratoga County artists and paid for by Saratoga Arts. The cost of a personalized brick is $250. Bricks are available in two sizes: 4" x 8" for $100 and 8" x 8" for $200. Money raised can aid with the training and care of service dogs that assist them both physically and emotionally.
The George A. Ingalls Veterans Memorial Plaza is a stunning memorial unlike any in Western Riverside County. The National D-Day Memorial Foundation expanded the brick campaign within Stettinius Parade to create The Annie J. Bronson Veterans Memorial Walk. Located at Veteran's Park North on Crocker Ranch Road, the Brick Walk of Honor is facilitated by the Roseville Historical Society and anyone can still purchase a brick with a veteran's name inscribed, to be placed in the sidewalk. The inscriptions on the individual bricks describe service and sacrifice spanning many generations: from World War One, World War Two, the Korean War, the Cold War, the Viet Nam War through all the modern day conflicts up to and including active duty personnel currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
