Some parts were informative which was definitely interesting at first. We so easily pass as straight, often without meaning to, that we get to skate over a lot of the abuse and prejudice. I do however think that this book would make a great educational tool for schools or to help students with papers, I just wasn't able to find much entertainment value from it.
We can become better allies by acknowledging that bisexuality or pansexuality is real and not used as stepping-stones. You love who you love. Being attracted to more than one gender is a part of who we are and having that minimized or erased is damaging, just as it would be for a gay or straight person. I expected a more fun coming to age story of real bisexuals and getting to hear their stories.
