Last year's broke annual tradition by utilizing only one side of the square making the parade a little shorter. Today we - my wife, Leann - and I, went to Carthage, Missouri to the Maple Leaf Festival & Parade. Pray they will be convicted and turn to God and be born again and live for Jesus. The Maple Leaf Festival features a mix of lighthearted and serious competitions to participate in or watch. Today was Anna's first time to open air preach. Over 150 entries have entered in the parade and will tour around the historic square. At the annual Luncheon Stroll & Shop event, which benefits breast cancer research, guests can enjoy an elegant lunch at the famous Phelps house, then stroll down Grand Avenue for some retail therapy. Immediately after the parade enjoy over 125 arts, craft & food vendors lining the whole outside and inside of the Carthage square. But the hallmark event of the festival is the parade, touted as the biggest in southwest Missouri. They also preached from different places in the festival. "With all vendors spots sold out, a large number of participants in the parade, I am excited to see all of our streets lined with community members and guests throughout the city enjoying the Maple Leaf fun, " added Reams.
