HS-6 for heavy loads. I use Solo 1000 with wad cutters and Universal Clays for everything else. If this is happening, it is due to high flame temperatures creating a Heat Affected Zone (HAZ). I don't have to aim preposterously high with this load. I know a lot of ppl like Bullseye or Titegroup, but when you fire up to 50 rounds in quick succession (ICORE competition) the gun gets really hot with BE and Titegroup and not so much with the Solo 1000. Letting the barrel "cool" between shots will not reduce the flame temperature or practically limit the creation of a HAZ if the flame temperature is hot enough. Personally, I've always been a fan of Alliant "Unique" which does justabout every ctg I reload (many) well enuf, but in its recent hard-to-get status I went to a powder I bought for experimental purposes, Nobelsport Vectan "A0" powder which is primarily designed for shotgun (like Unique) yet it has a range of applicability in handgun & rifle ctgs quite similar to Unique although loading data is a little sparse. Herco is another favorite. Bullseye then Unique.
Red Dot with the 148WC. I'm 44 years old and have been reloading for better than 25 years, but nobody showed me. You can make it work well in pretty much any handgun cartridge although it may not be the best choice overall for a particular one. For me it's 10B101, for the wife it's 700X. If I HAD to pick one powder, it would be HS-6 or AA#5. Well the old standards work well for me, Unique and 2400. If were talking for me, both in. Titegroup meters great, is ok for low load density, it has a good range (mild to hot) and is good when you crunch the numbers for $/round.

Looks like Hodgdon went and confirmed it themselves. You didn't mention a barrel length for your velocity goal of 1200 to 1400 fps for 158-170 grain bullets in 357 Magnum. Velocity for Bullseye and 815 fps as the max. It will work, has for years, just not in my guns! Perhaps so, but this load seems to shoot better than I can and I have no complaints.
