That it connects us to community with each other, with the water, with the millions of birds, with anyone fighting the forms that the world-ending power of white supremacy takes in cities, in forests, in traffic stops, in books, and in swamps. Regarding the worldbuilding, it was rich but never too dense, clear and colorful, with great imagery. I have read them all, but they could be read as standalone.
