However, the scene does carry a hint of darkness, because one must consider the origins of Hakan, Eli's middle-aged human companion, initially appearing to be a father figure but later shown to be more like her servant. Justified by her Immortal Immaturity, Abby is stuck with the mental/emotional maturity of a 12-year-old. None of the people responding to the thread said they thought it would make it into the new film. Owen's a complicated case, as while he is shown to be a very gentle, naive boy, especially in his date scenes with Abby, he does take part in detailed re-enactments of killing the bullies who torment him every day. Adaptation Dye-Job: In Let the Right One In, Eli had dark hair and Oskar was blonde.
