Ford part number: C8TZ-4602-DD. Well he pulled out the carrier bearing, and it had a different mount than the truck had. Jeep stock shafts are known to be weaker than custom driveshafts. You may also have luck searching online used car part sites (e-junkyards), online auction sites, or classified sections of online Ranger forums (there are several good ones). By dropping the carrier bearing, you can help restore the proper angle of the drive line. And IIRC the 2 piece DS had some sort of damnper or vibration thing on it.
I agree, might not be the shaft. 3) Remove the cross member. Now is also a good time to inspect the transmission seal and replace if needed (if it is leaking transmission fluid out of the output shaft – where you will be inserting the drive shaft). Piece shaft is only 38 pounds. Given a specific material, two pieces allow a smaller diameter, but are a disadvantage for us. It's quite easy and relatively inexpensive to do a 1 piece aluminum that has the capability of handling more torque and critical speed than any of us are going to throw at it. There is lots of information but no clear recommendation in this thread: There are advantages... and disadvantages... to both.

It seems, from what I've read, that the driveline vibrations commonly found when towing/hauling a load with the 2-piece DS are improved by installing a Raptor transmission mount, which I assume is firmer and does not allow the transmission to move as much, and I have read that it slightly alters the driveline angle as well. With a 2 piece tucked away you increase your break over angle and will get much more out of your Gladiator. I just remember the driveshaft swap being fairly straight forward when I was considering it.

Communicate privately with other Tacoma owners from around the world. 2 short pieces will maintain integrity vs a long 1 piece. Leaf spring-equipped vehicles can be adjusted with shims available from alignment shops, and on four-link-equipped vehicles, the links are designed to be adjusted to dial in a perfect pinion angle.
Not sure what all the critical speed concerns are -- you DESIGN for the critical speed you need in steel or aluminum. Ford quit using two piece shafts a couple of years ago, too many problems related to the high diesel torque. The first step is perhaps the hardest: freeing the frame cross member that supports the carrier bearing. Application: Horseshoe type. Am I going to have problems with this? This is especially true if you are going offroad, on trails, or rock crawling. The Action Machine aluminum driveshaft is ideally suited for street rods, show cars, race cars and as OEM aluminum replacements.
I also have an aluminum 1 pc. The yellow piece is the frame rail, the green section is the cross member, and the red part is a rivet. Now I know and have heard 2 piece units are designed to absorb more vibration than a single piece unit. This happens when the tail shaft extension seal vibrates. In the end the proper solution was to completely remove the driveshaft, measure it exactly, and custom order one from Drive Shaft Shop. I had to limit the bumps and run straps. I don't want to bash these guys but I thought they were in the business of driveshafts not telling people to get their own measurements for a part that these guys should carry seeing that they are a drive shaft company lol...

There is a bolt in the center of the yoke that seems to hold it in place.
A local driveshaft shop could do this easily, quickly, and inexpensively. The slip yoke slides into the transmission on two wheel drive vehicles. Sorry, I have since gotten a new phone and I don't have access to my backup pictures right now to show the gouges as they are on my desktop computer, in a box, in a storage unit. So, besides the socket for the drive shaft you will need an angle grinder with metal cutting/grinding wheel, a punch and heavy hammer.
