She was also a member and past president of both the Lintonia Garden Club and the Yazoo Arts Association. She served as a longtime Sunday School teacher (and Superintendent for the 9-10-year-old age group) and was a longstanding member of the Women's Missionary Union. While practicing as an attorney in Yazoo County, he was former Yazoo County Attorney, and attorney for the Yazoo Board of Supervisors, the Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association, King's Daughters Hospital and the Illinois Central Railroad.

Yoste said Fielder had a love for others that was felt by everyone he knew. Mr. Rayfield was employed by The Bell Telephone System where he was a manager; he retired after 40 years of service. He later earned his in Education Administration from Mississippi College and then served as principal of Bentonia High School and Yazoo County High School for 12 years. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; John Ralph & Viola Regan, brothers: John Ralph Regan, II & George Robert Regan, and a sister; Lena Mae Regan. After her reign ended in 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, John Erickson. She served as an officer in WMU on the local, state and national levels.
