At the end of the day, choosing the color of the rims is a matter of preference, so take your pick. Looking on the brighter side of things, you also find a relief in maintenance. I have been checking for pics of BRZs and GT86s, and Subarus and Porsches... those cars all offer a color very similar to RB, and there are more "adventurous" buyers that would go for a gold or bronze wheel. If you want it to look more fun and edgy, go for a lighter shade.
The downside to this style is that it can be difficult to keep the wheels clean, but if you're willing to put in the effort, it's definitely worth it. Chrome rims are a wise investment since others will look at the color more often. However, choosing a suitable color scheme for the rims can be a big test. Gold is another color which will be strange for a blue car.

Its really either way. It's a great body color, someone suggested slate or gunmetal, good options for sure and maybe you can accent with a rim pin stripe in blue. The kit fits the car with bronze 19-inch wheels instead of a set of black 18-inchers. It will contrast with the blue and make it shine for the viewer. So far I have decided if I go with a bronze it would be a very dark matte bronze, so almost grey or gunmetal, but with a bit of a bronze tint. If you want something that's elegant and understated, go for a more classic style of bronze wheel. Somehow, bronze and gold-ish work well with a lot of colors. My powder coater has a wall full of test colors I can bring out to the car and see what I think. Jarheads get extra posting privileges as far as I'm concerned anyway... looks great.
