One said, "If I did not have a Sin Consciousness, I would have faith. Nor do they arise from wishful thinking. Expressed through you. To the believer, we declare the need to abide in Jesus. We can say, "By His stripes we are healed, " and know that the Father will make it good. Your lives will then bring glory and praise to God. Isaiah prophesied of a people who would be given: "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified" (Isaiah 61:3). The moment we become the Righteousness of God, the Spirit becomes our teacher, the Word becomes our food and our education.
Each good work is actually a gift from the LORD given through uis to bless others. It is the desire of God that every Christian should be filled with the fruits of righteousness (Philippians 1:11). They may not all arrive or develop at the exact same time or at the same speed in our lives. If the vine is a Jesus-vine, then we can only bear the same fruit as Jesus. Some would even go farther and say, "I have received the Holy Spirit and have spoken in tongues. " Should we expect these fruits in every single Christian? They 'happen' as Christ indwells us and they are by His operation alone for His purpose alone – to the praise and glory of God, that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ (in us!
The simple answer to this is that people are different. We don't have to wait years before ceasing our stealing. Isaiah 61:3 calls us trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord of hosts that He might be glorified. For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth. Honesty, compassion, kindness, gentleness, and self-control (to name a few) are not attributes granted only to a few "super-saints. " 9:10, "And increase the fruits of your righteousness. " His beauty is expressed through me; this is my heritage in Christ. What mighty things could be wrought if men were conscious of their Righteousness! But the particular phrase which stands out most to me consists of these words: "the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ. " Being complete as regards the fruit of righteousness, which [is] by Jesus Christ, to God's glory and praise. The renewal of the mind is more than just getting head knowledge of God's Word. Jesus' entire public ministry was the fruit of His Righteousness. When we feed on the Word of God primarily the epistles, for they reveal who we now are in Christ so that it becomes real to us and become a doer His Word, we abide in His Word. The problem is this: Was God able to produce a Redemption that would redeem man from the hand of the Adversary, recreate him, make him a New Creation, and remit all that he had ever done?
Then the fruits of Righteousness in our lives will be blessing and helping folks, healing their diseases, opening the Word to them, breaking the power of the Adversary over their lives, teaching them how to live in the will of the Father, teaching them how to enjoy all the fullness of His grace, and by showing forth in our daily walk a fearless fellowship with the Father, a fearless attitude toward the Adversary and all his works, a fearless mastery over circumstances. Looking at verses 10 and 11 together shows Paul's emphasis on preaching Jesus as God. So where do they come from – Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit? If we bear any spiritual fruit in our lives it is Christ's myrrh, his sweet smelling sacrifice. This makes it clear that if we have the Fruit, we have all its facets too. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [that His glory may be both manifested and recognized]. Paul gives greater details on these, as fruits of the Spirit, in Galatians 5:22–23. Yes, He could and did provide a Redemption like that. All who are born again have been filled with the fruits of righteousness known as the fruit of the spirit revealed to us in Galatians 5:22-23. MANIFESTING FRUITS OF. If you would die (if it pleased Him that you should die) with the brightness of God's countenance on you, seek in everything to live in fellowship of the Spirit with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ, —which is the portion of His children.
We must never forget that these fruits of righteousness are "by Jesus Christ. " Could God take the sin nature out of man and in its place give him His own nature so that he could stand before Him without any Sin Consciousness, without the sense of guilt or inferiority?
A man said to me, "If I knew that I was what the Word says I am, I could shake the world. The moment you grasp this, you will never be sick again, never be defeated again, you will start speaking in tongues instantly, you will live the Word life. The death of Jesus has closed the door against sin being imputed to us. The way we walk into a room will change. We will have faith in 1 Cor. Phil 1 talks of the effects or outworking of one of those facets, His Righteousness, like not being entangled again with the yoke of bondage, crucifying the flesh with its affections and lusts, separation, sanctification and holiness, honesty, a renewed mind and a pure heart – whatever our Lord Jesus is.
As you spend time in the Scriptures, specific passages, verses, and even phrases will stand out to you. What has the Lord called us for? The Spirit will illuminate it and make it a living thing in our lips and in our hearts. You will be filled with the fruit of right living produced by Jesus Christ. Two Kinds of Righteousness. After a suitable period of maturation, finally the first apples appear.
The thing we must see about fruit is that fruit never comes first. We will have faith in humanity, that it will respond to the appeal of love, and that we will see the fruitage from our ministry. Our standing before God is in Divine righteousness; consequently, that matter is forever settled. I challenge them to believe on Christ, fully surrendering themselves to Him. Others come to Christ in a rougher, less gentle state.
The power or ability to do good works come from the Holy Spirit who dwells in the vessel by his grace. Jesus Himself is in us as He was in Paul. And as that life flows, fruits will begin to appear. What about those who show little evidence of these fruits, but are still believers? We say Heavenly Father don't we? To bring that fruit to fruition we must abide in Him, and His Word must abide in us as John 15:7 tells us that when we do so we will bear much fruit. Contributed by Paul Clemente on Aug 12, 2010. True Salvation is evident by the bearing of fruit in our lives. If the vine is a grape-vine, then the branches must bear grapes, if it is a melon-vine, then the branches can only bear melons.
